One of Fort Lauderdale’s most popular nightclubs has undergone a $1 million makeover.

YOLO and its adjoining O Lounge on Las Olas Boulevard upgraded their carpets, flooring, lighting and furniture, Tim Petrillo, president and co-founder of The Restaurant People, which owns both businesses, told the Sun-Sentinel.

“Though we maintain them, we wanted to make sure that they still look good before people start saying, ‘You should think about renovation,’ ” Petrillo said. “Our regular clientele will be pleasantly surprised.”

The bars were basically gut renovated to allow for the new furnishings and décor.

“Not one thing in the place was there two months ago,” Petrillo said. “We kept a lot of the style it had before, just made it a little more sophisticated. It’s a new era.” [Sun-Sentinel] – Christopher Cameron
