South Florida broker Christopher White has been busted for allegedly committing mortgage fraud, as well as lying on a citizenship application form.
The Fort Lauderdale resident was already negotiating a plea agreement for fraudulently obtaining a $5 million mortgage on a Las Olas Isles mansion when federal authorities busted him on immigration charges, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
White is a Jamaican citizen and a legal permanent resident with a green card, but he allegedly lied, claiming that he was a U.S. citizen on his 2006 mortgage application.
White operates the Fort Lauderdale-based Chris White Group, which sells high-end real estate across South Florida. [Sun-Sentinel] – Christopher Cameron
