Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Branden Albert purchased a six-bedroom house not too far from the team’s Davie practice facility for nearly $1.2 million, The Real Deal has learned.

Albert, who signed a five-year contract with the Dolphins in March, bought the 5,200-square-foot home in Davie’s Long Lake Ranches West community in a transaction recorded on Tuesday, according to Broward County records. Hayden and Kelly Reed sold the 11382 Redberry Drive property to Albert. They paid $950,000 for the house in September 2010.

No financing was recorded.

The six-bathroom home was constructed in 2005. Features include a three-car garage, home theater and swimming pool.

Ski Zielinski of AAA Realty Group was the listing agent.

After playing college football at the University of Virginia, Albert was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2008 and spent six seasons with the team. He was selected to the 2013 Pro Bowl.
