The International House of Pancakes in West Palm Beach has been demolished.

On Tuesday, city crews razed the building, located at 8111 South Dixie Highway, just north of the Lake Worth city limit at the C-51 canal, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The city has owned the tract for roughly two years, and commissioners have hoped to make it a key part of the revitalization of the South Dixie corridor.

One idea being floated is to transform the property into a boat lift at the canal’s spillway, allowing tens of thousands of boaters in inland lakes and canals to get to the Intracoastal Waterway. [Palm Beach Post] – Christopher Cameron
