Dania Beach retail building trades for $28M

A Bass Pro Shops-anchored retail building in Dania Beach changed hands for more than $28 million, The Real Deal has learned.

A company tied to Beachwood, Ohio-based DDR Corp. sold the 200 Gulf Stream Way building to TGC Dania in a transaction recorded on Friday, according to Broward County records. The 165,000-square-foot retail center was originally constructed in 1999. It last sold for $18.2 million in June 2002.

TGC Dania is tied to The Goodman Co. of West Palm Beach. The company obtained a $21 million mortgage from New York-based MC-Five Commercial Mortgage Finance LLC. The loan matures in November 2044.

The building is located on more than 15 acres adjacent to the International Game Fish Association headquarters and less than one mile from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
