The building houses Miami’s latest hurricane research facility: the Extreme Events Institute.

“The institute will study and provide data to the United States government, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association and other international meteorological organizations, providing unparalleled insight on the effect of extreme natural events on people, society, and the economy,” according to a press release. [Curbed]Christopher Cameron
