A top Univision executive plunked down $2.6 million for a condo at the Don Peebles-developed Residences at the Bath Club in Miami Beach, The Real Deal has learned.
Alberto Ciurana, Univision’s president of programming and content, acquired Unit 604 at the 5959 Collins Avenue building, according to Miami-Dade County records. The three-bedroom condo totals nearly 4,000 square feet. Peebles completed the Residences at the Bath Club in 2005 and is now developing the high-end Bath Club Estates eight blocks to the north.
Ciurana obtained a 30-year mortgage for $1.45 million from Bank of America. He also owns the 2,000-square-foot Unit 1101 at the building.
The seller is New York-based Bluebonnet Trust, which paid about $1.9 million for the condo in October 2005.
Before joining Univision two years ago, Ciurana was a vice president of programming at Televisa during a 15-year stint with the network.
Charles Andrews and Ken Bell from the Sunny Isles Beach office of One Sotheby’s International Realty handled the listing. The firm’s Lana Bell represented Ciurana in the deal.
