Actor-filmmaker Adrian Grenier is lending his star power to another sustainability project.
Grenier, founder with film producer Peter Glatzer of SHFT.com, a lifestyle design platform, is joining forces with NR Investments, a privately held real estate investment company focused on the Arts and Entertainment District of Greater Downtown Miami. Through their partnership, SHFT.com will curate a loft studio at Filling Station Lofts to reflect sustainable solutions in design, art, food and music. Owned by NRI, Filling Station Lofts is an 81-unit, all-loft residential rental building located at 1657 North Miami Avenue in the heart of Miami’s Arts and Entertainment District.
SHFT.com will also advise Filling Station Lofts on the installation of a saline pool and drought-tolerant plants, as well as producing on-property cultural events such as art exhibits and wine tastings.
Filling Station Lofts was purchased in 2012 and revitalized by NRI. The units offer loft spaces ranging from 878 to 2,000 square feet. The spaces have diamond-plate stairs, imported New York subway tile, large interior windows and upstairs mezzanines, as well as exposed concrete, limestone and corrugated steel materials. – Jennifer White Karp
