Concerns about overdevelopment in Palm Beach Gardens will be addressed Thursday at a city council workshop on the city’s future.
As the recession recedes, numerous new residential and commercial projects have sprung up in the area. Staffers tasked with city planning are worried about the resources it will take to accommodate some of the massive projects in the pipeline. One such example is the 4,760-home Avenir development, which is seeking approval on the old Vavrus Ranch property.
“We need to be on the same page as the council,” City Manager Ron Ferris said, citing issues ranging from building height to density, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Public comment will not be invited at the work session. [Palm Beach Post] — Jennifer White Karp
