Los Angeles Dodgers Alex Guerrero, a Cuban defector and the victim of a strange ear-biting incident, bought a Weston mansion for $2.5 million.

Guerro, 27 years old, plays infield for the Dodgers. His new home in the exclusive Windmill Ranch Estateswas custom built in 1994 and remodeled in 2007, according to a report in the Daily Business Review. The home is 9,000 square feet and has five bedrooms and eight baths, as well as a media room, gourmet kitchen, pool, spa and four-car garage.

The Cuban native defected to the Dominican Republic and signed with Dodgers last year. The four-year contract was for $28 million.

In May, Guerrero lost part of his ear when he was bitten by teammate during a fight in the dugout. He returned to the lineup later in the season. [Daily Business Review]
