Miami Marlins infielder Rafael Furcal got $1.8 million for his Aventura condo, The Real Deal has learned.

Furcal, who is about to become a free agent, sold Unit 2102 at Bellamare at Williams Island in a transaction recorded on Tuesday, according to Miami-Dade County records. He paid $1.6 million for the three-bedroom condo in April 2008. The 2,840-square-foot unit at 6600 Island Boulevard was constructed in 2005.

Michael and Valerie Muchnick are the buyers. They received a $1.3 million mortgage from Regions Bank for the purchase.

Furcal won a World Series ring in 2011 as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Baseball stars have been particularly active buying and selling South Florida properties in recent months.
