South Florida foreclosures continued to decline last month, according to the latest report from Condo Vultures.

Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties had a year-over-year drop in foreclosures, from 2,134 in October 2013 to 1,440 last month. The region had 16,165 foreclosures during the first 10 months of 2014, way down from 33,433 during the same period in 2013.

In Miami-Dade, foreclosures dropped from 845 in October 2013 to 408 last month. The county’s year-to-date foreclosures fell from 12,459 to 5,353. Broward County’s year-over-year foreclosures declined from 829 to 662 last month, while its year-to-date foreclosures dropped from 13,860 to 6,947.

Palm Beach County had a smaller decline, from 460 foreclosures in October 2013 to only 370 last month. The county’s year-to-date foreclosures dropped from 7,114 to 3,865. — Eric Kalis
