A Star Island home will be moved to the other side of its lot on Tuesday, thanks to a feat of engineering.
The “mini-Vizcaya,” 10,000-square-foot home is being rotated and attached to a separate garage closer to the street – making room for a new waterfront home, according to the Miami Herald.
Architect Walter DeGarmo designed the house, which has been at 27 Star Island since 1925. John Jansheski bought it in May 2011 for $10.8 million. [Miami Herald] – Katherine Kallergis
