Palm Beach County moved up to 70 from 164 in the best improved metro areas, according to a recent report.
The 2014 Milken Institute’s annual Best-Performing Cities report considers housing, job growth and wage growth.
The top Florida metro areas were Orlando, Jacksonville and Naples.
“Metros that experienced the biggest collapse in housing markets during the Great Recession have seen stabilization and some degree of recovery over the past several years,” the report said. “Florida and California, where the housing bust hit hardest, had the most metros in the list of biggest gainers.”
Nationally, San Francisco topped the list, followed by Austin, Texas. [Palm Beach Post] — Kristina Puga
