Former soccer star Ronaldo Luis Nazário is looking at potential sites for a new stadium and soccer academy in Broward.
Ronaldo, a newly-minted part owner of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, reportedly took a helicopter ride with Ricardo Geromel and investor Carlos “Wizard” Martins to look for new sites for the soccer team.
The team’s ownership group is actively looking for a new permanent home, the Sun Sentinel reported. The trio also have plans to open a soccer academy in Broward.
“We have a beautiful project,” Matins said. “I’m one of the investors to develop a chain of academies, not only in South Florida but around the United States.” [Sun Sentinel] — Katherine Kallergis
