AIDS charity buys Fort Lauderdale office building for $7.5M

A Los Angeles-based AIDS charity purchased an office building in Fort Lauderdale for $7.5 million.

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation purchased the property at 700 Southeast Third Avenue from one of its subsidiaries, AHF MCO of Florida, according to Broward County property records.

The 39,644-square-foot building sits on a 1.2 acre parcel west of South Federal Highway. It was last purchased for $4.9 million in 2013 from CBSA Law Plaza.

The foundation is nonprofit global provider of healthcare, prevention and education for AIDS.
