The upcoming luxury condo tower Residences by Armani/Casa in Sunny Isles Beach has entered the preconstruction phase, developers announced Wednesday.
Reservations are being converted into hard contracts, and demolition of the existing site is expected to begin in the next two weeks.
More than 84 percent of the tower’s 307 units have been sold, according to a release.
The 60-story tower at 18975 Collins Avenue is a joint venture between the Armani Group, Dezer Development and Related Group. It was designed by César Pelli, the internationally known architect who created the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami.
Units range in size from 1,350 square feet to 3,750 square feet. Prices range from $1.3 million to more than $5 million.
Condos will be ready for occupancy in the first quarter of 2018, according to a press release.
“This announcement is another major milestone for this project; the first foray into U.S. real estate by Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio,” said Gil Dezer, president of Dezer Development, in a statement. “We look forward to beginning construction of this landmark tower and introducing the unrivaled Armani lifestyle to South Florida.” — Sean Stewart-Muniz
