The Port 95 Business Center has its first lessee — a Pembroke Pines-based produce distributor.
Premier Produce signed a lease for 37,205 square feet at the newly constructed Dania Beach distribution facility, leasing agent Cushman & Wakefield announced Wednesday.
Executive directors Christopher Metzger and Richard Etner Jr. and Senior Director Christopher Thomson of Cushman & Wakefield brokered the deal for the owner, MSG Port 95. The three also represented the centers’ developer, Bridge Development, when it sold the property to MSG Port 95 for $27 million in November.
Port 95, at 2650 Southwest 36th street, is a 229,643-square-foot distribution center with easy access to the surrounding highways, according to a release. The building has 32-foot ceilings, ample loading doors, energy efficient lighting and offices built to suit.
Premier Produce, which services South Florida with a 42-truck fleet, will begin its occupancy in June.
“Premier Produce is the first of what we expect to be many tenants filling the balance of the space at the Port 95 Business Center,” Metzger said in a statement.
