A Deerfield Beach commercial property that was formerly the site of Nielsen’s Furniture has sold for $3.1 million, according to High Street Retail USA, which represented the buyer.
The 2.1 acre property, at 1335 South Federal Highway, is on the Northwest corner of Federal Highway and Southeast 13th Court. The seller was Thomas Boyle, whose family operated Nielsen’s Furniture, High Street Retail USA broker Sharon Dresser told The Real Deal. The property had been vacant for some time, she said.
Dresser represented the buyer, Federal and 13th LLC, an investor group that includes Dresser, her husband Steven Cantor and another investor, Daniel Morris, according to corporate filings.
Dresser, who is also a general contractor, said the group plans to redevelop the property as a gas station and convenience store, and lease the adjacent building at 1307 South Federal Highway.
“We think it’s a great opportunity for the service station,” Dresser told TRD, adding that the group is actively looking for other opportunities for redevelopment. “It will be a nice upgrade for the community.”
