David Rockwell Group held a private presentation for its designs in the upcoming Hyde Midtown Suites and Residences at the project’s sales gallery. Restaurateur Michael Schwartz hosted a pop-up for his new cafe, ella, at the party.

Rockwell Group is designing the lobby, amenity floors, elevator corridors and the 60 designer suites at Hyde Midtown Suites and Residences, which will have an additional 410 condos, a seventh floor pool terrace and tennis court, and a private screening center.

“We felt it was important that Hyde Midtown’s public spaces and guest rooms reflect their unique local surroundings,” David Rockwell, founder and president of Rockwell Group, said in a statement. “So our design concept is based on the notion of the new luxury, an eclectic, edgy mix of raw and finished materials, contrasting colors and handcrafted design elements.”

Hyde Midtown is a joint venture between the Related Group, Dezer Development and sbe. Completion is set for the second quarter of 2018. — Katherine Kallergis
