The restaurant group responsible for Strada In The Grove is opening a new eatery across the street from its first Coconut Grove location.
Dizio, which owns Strada, signed a 2,500-square-foot lease at 3197 Commodore Plaza, where it will open Farinelli 1937, The Real Deal has learned.
The Italian restaurant is set to open in the fall and will have indoor and outdoor seating for 110 people.
Commercial brokerage Pointe Group Advisors represented the landlord, Commodore Corner, according to a press release. The restaurant is next door to the former Bombay Darbar, an Indian restaurant that will be moving to Villa Mayfair, at 2901 Florida Avenue in Coconut Grove.
Developers Related Group and Terra Group recently held a roundtable discussion with Coconut Grove retailers to talk about the area’s resurgence.
The neighborhood has seen a flurry of multi-million dollar purchases and renovations in the last few months, including the Engle Building, which is attracting high-profile tenants, and Pointe Group’s $14 million purchase of three commercial parcels totalling 60,000 square feet. — Sean Stewart-Muniz
