PHOTOS: On the scene at Sterling Ruby’s lecture in Miami’s Design District

The de la Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space recently hosted the second edition of its lecture series, which featured artist Sterling Ruby as the keynote speaker.

The series, sponsored by the Miami Design District and the de la Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space, is focused on educating the public about art through lectures by artists, curators, critics and cultural figures. The Design District partnership is made up of Dacra and L Real Estate, according to a release.

Dacra founder Craig Robins was among the hundreds who visited the collection, at 23 Northeast 41st Street, to hear the Los Angeles-based artist speak.

Robins has been heavily involved in transforming the Design District into a bustling artistic hub, and plans to significantly expand the neighborhood.
