Two athletes just put their South Florida homes on the market: basketball celebrity Kevin Durant and former NFL cornerback Asante Samuel.
Downtown Miami, Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant just put his downtown Miami condo on the market for $3.45 million.
Located at 900 Biscayne Boulevard, the 3,800-square-foot unit has three bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, electronic shades and a Creston smart-home system.
The 900 Biscayne Bay unit was purchased for $1.83 million in 2011 by K. Durant Enterprises — which shares the namesake of the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball player.
It is being marketed by Ben Moss of One Sotheby’s International Realty. Moss said he couldn’t comment on the listing.
Durant missed 17 games after he injured his foot in October, and is set to become a free agent next year.
Southwest Ranches, Asante Samuel
Former NFL cornerback Asante Samuel put his Southwest Ranches estate on the market For $9.5 million with a fitting name — “The Compound.”
Listing agent Ben Moss of One Sotheby’s International Realty told The Real Deal that the player custom built the home, which was finished in 2014, but decided that it’s too big for his needs.
The 18,000-square-foot mansion at 5300 Ascot Terrace has nine bedrooms, 11 full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, a 10-car garage and a massive $1 million pool.
The pool is decked out with a grotto that has two flatscreen TVs inside, along with a water slide, spa and fire pit.
Moss told TRD that other notable features of the home include its game room, theater room, gym, salon room and music studio.
The home sits on just under 5 acres in the gated Landmark Branch Estates, which Moss calls a celebrity haven. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is among the handful of professional athletes who live in the community.
