CityPlace Doral, a massive mixed-use project in the city known for its industrial warehouses and suburban communities, announced its retailers recently.
Pie Bar, Salsa Fiesta, Kings bowling alley, Mixtura, Angelo, Tommy Bahama-Island, Cooper’s Hawk, Burger & Beer Joint, Sushi Siam, Cabo Flats and CineBistro — Cobb Theatre are among the future tenants.
The Related Group and Shoma Homes are developing the community, which will include 600,000-square-feet of retail and more than 1,000 residences, according to a press release.
The retail component will be designed by Arquitectonica and is breaking ground this month. Kings will be a 20,000-square-foot bowling alley to include bars, a restaurant and a private suite. CityPlace Doral also has plans for a high-end grocery store.
“The dynamic mix of high-end retail and elegant living options within walking distance of one another creates a thriving, downtown cityscape for the perfect balance between endless recreation choices by day, and lively entertainment by night,” Steve Patterson, president of Related Development, said in a statement.
Related and Shoma are among developers aiming to transform Doral. Armando Codina’s Downtown Doral is a master-planned community that calls for eight to nine mid-rise condo towers, 70 retail stores and restaurants, and more than a million square feet of office space in four buildings along a new Main Street. — Katherine Kallergis
