Broward’s Metropica to include 400K sf of retail, restaurants

Metropica, the 65-acre development in Sunrise announced its retail component Tuesday, The Real Deal has learned. 

The 4-million-square-foot Metropica will include 400,000 square feet of retail space and a minimum of eight restaurants, most of which are new to Broward. Developers are in negotiations with national chains, according to a press release.

YOO at Metropica, one of eight residential towers in the community, has converted its reservations into contracts, according to Trillist. Trillist is partnering with YOO Studio for the first tower, a 28-story condo building with 263 luxury units ranging in size from 740 to 1,300 square feet. It will also feature 10 penthouses averaging 1,900 square feet. ONE Sotheby’s is the exclusive sales and marketing firm for building.
