A Walgreens in Palm Beach County was just sold for $7.4 million to a math professor from the University of South Florida.

The store, at 6975 South Congress Avenue in Lantana, was purchased by a company titled Tampa Bay Corporate Square — headed by Chris P. Tsokos and Fanourios I. Ferderigos, according to Palm Beach County records.

Tsokos is credited by USF as having earned research grants totaling more than $1.5 million from organizations like NASA, the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army.

He is also a prominent real estate investor, as described by the publication Business Observer, and owns an untold number of properties in Florida.

His partner Ferderigos is an orthopedic surgeon in Palm Harbor.

Tsokos purchased the Lantana Walgreens from a company titled Swampy Acquisitions, which first picked it up in 2002 for $5.25 million. The 14,711-square-foot store was built in 2002 and sits on a 2.2-acre lot, Palm Beach property records show.
