National homebuilder D.R. Horton bought 12.5 acres in Oakland Park, Broward County records show.
Eastside Village Lofts sold two vacant lots along North Dixie Highway for $5.9 million, according to a deed recorded Thursday. Scott Brenner, president and CEO of Fort Lauderdale-based Brenner Real Estate Group signed the deed transfer.
The lots at 4100 North Dixie Highway last sold as part of a larger deal for $19 million in April 2005. They’re located across the street from an industrial and retail neighborhood, and north of Jaco Pastorius Park.
Fort Worth, Texas-based D.R. Horton operates in 27 states, according to its website. The company’s presence in South Florida totals 20 communities, including Venezia in Miami, Mandarin Lakes in Homestead, and Estates at Hunter Chase in Wellington.
In April, construction began on D.R. Horton’s southeastern Florida regional headquarters in Coconut Creek.
