Mr. Greens buys Miami warehouse for 13.5x last sale

Caribe Food Corp. sold its Miami-Dade warehouse for $5.4 million, about 13.5 times its last sale in 1999, county records show.

The Miami-based wholesale produce distributor sold the 5.8-acre site at 7350 Northwest 30th Avenue to 1341 Lot LLC, a company managed by Peter Politis and tied to Mr. Greens Produce, a nearby produce distributer. 

The warehouse, built in 1999, spans 64,084 square feet, according to Miami-Dade property records. It last sold for $400,000 in 1995.

Politis, who acquired Mr. Greens in 2012, was previously in the asset-lending business, according to the Produce News. Mr. Greens has an existing facility, which was recently renovated and expanded, at 1378 Northwest 22nd Street in Miami.
