Owners of a 69-acre equestrian property in Wellington landed an $18 million mortgage, according to Palm Beach County records.
Melissa Potamkin Ganzi and her husband Marc Ganzi mortgaged the land through LLCs at 1344 Southfields Road and 13450 Southfields Road, as well as land in Ocala, Florida.
Bank of America is the lender.
Southfields Polo LLC paid $13.25 for the 38.65 acres at 13450 Southfields Road in December, Palm Beach property records show. The sale included $11.93 million in financing. Sales information for the adjacent property was not available online.
The Ganzis own their own polo teams and are considered Wellington’s “royal couple of polo,” the Palm Beach Post has reported. Potamkin Ganzi’s grandfather was Victor Potamkin, who started the chain of car dealerships in South Florida.
In January, equestrian mogul Mark Bellissimo took out a $15 million loan for a combined 100 acres in Wellington.
