Alex and Ani, a jewelry and accessories brand, is opening its first two stores in Miami-Dade, on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach and at the Falls, The Real Deal has learned.

The retailer will have 690 square feet at 541 Lincoln Road, after buying out the lease from the previous tenant Sabon, Drew Schaul, vice president and managing broker in RKF’s Miami office, told TRD. Schaul represented both Alex and Ani and Sabon in the transaction. As part of the deal, Alex and Ani paid “key money in the six figures” to Sabon to obtain the space, Schaul said.

The building is owned by SRA/Lincoln Road Theater, whose principal is Cliff Stein, according to public records.

Lincoln Road is a shopping destination for international tourists and the heavy foot traffic was most appealing to Alex and Ani,” Schaul said. “Alex and Ani’s product appeals to that consumer.”

Alex and Ani, whose bangles start at $28, has also signed a lease at the Falls, company spokeswoman Daniela Maron told TRD. Both new stores will open late this year.

“Our customer is very diverse, and we want to be where she is,” said Maron, who is based in New York.

Alex and Ani currently has stores on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach.

The lifestyle accessories brand is in an expansion mode, and will have 60 standalone stores by the end of the year, Maron said. Alex and Ani products are also carried nationally at stores including Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom.
