A wholesale plumbing supplier signed a lease for 40,000 square feet at MICC in Miami-Dade, The Real Deal has learned.

Hughes Supply signed the longterm lease at the Doral corporate park, which is owned and managed by PS Business Parks. Transwestern’s Walter Byrd, Ben Eisenberg, Thomas Kresse, Carlos Gaviria and Andrew Fernandez represented the landlord. Sky Groden of Cresa Partners represented the tenant.

“MICC’s location in Miami’s Airport market not only appeals to international distribution companies, but as of late, we have seen a number of companies focused on distribution to the South Florida marketplace seek out the project for its accessibility and value,” Kresse said in a statement.

The long-term lease is valued at about $2.5 million, according to Transwestern.

The 3.5-million-square-foot Miami International Commerce Center includes warehouse, office and flex space and is located near the Dolphin Expressway, Palmetto Expressway and the Florida Turnpike, at 8216 Northwest 14th Street. — Katherine Kallergis
