Following last week’s announcement of retailers at Brickell City Centre, Swire Properties, Whitman Family Development and Simon have released new restaurants: Miami-based Pubbelly Sushi and Pasion del Cielo.
The restaurant and coffee shop are joining Uruguayan restaurant Quinto La Huella and rooftop bar Sugar, both of which will be located at the development’s East Hotel, and dine-in options at its luxury theater, Cinemex.
The Pubbelly Restaurant Group has Pubbelly Sushi in Miami Beach, Macchialina, Barceloneta, PB Steak, Taco Belly and L’echon Brasserie. Pasion del Cielo has existing locations in Midtown, Coral Gables, Kendall and South Miami.
The new eateries will all open in fall of 2016.
“We are partnering with restaurants that appeal to the many different diners walking through Brickell City Centre every day; the residents of our condominium towers, visitors from the EAST, Miami Hotel, office workers from our office towers, and our surrounding neighbors and visitors,”Debora Overholt, senior retail director at Swire Properties, said in a statement. “The restaurants will range from fun fare to world-class international household names, as well as local favorites that started right here in Miami.”
Cole Haan, lululemon, Illesteva, Harmont & Blaine and OndadeMar will join Valentino and Chopard in the 500,000-square-foot shopping center. Saks Fifth Avenue will anchor the shopping component, slated to open in the fall of 2016. About 90 percent of the shopping center is in advance negotiations, the developers said.
Brickell City Centre’s two condominium towers, two Class A office buildings, including one almost entirely leased by international law firm, Akerman, and its EAST, Miami Hotel, will also act as anchors for the shopping center. The condominium, office, and hotel components at Brickell City Centre are set to open beginning at the end of 2015. — Katherine Kallergis
