ONE Sotheby’s International Realty appointed Amy Kane as its director of sales for the Miami Beach office, The Real Deal has learned.
Kane, who was previously executive vice president and director of sales at Douglas Elliman’s Gallery Brokerage in New York City, will oversee more than 150 Sotheby’s agents in her new role.
“It’s my goal to grow the office, help agents grow their business and continue to deliver on the expectation that we promise to the consumer,” Kane told TRD.
Kane officially started at the firm this week, but moved to Miami about six months ago and has been looking for the right opportunity while meeting with clients and agents, she said.
ONE Sotheby’s president Daniel de la Vega told TRD that the company’s No. 1 priority is its agents.
“She shows that and understands that,” de la Vega said. “Amy fits our company culture.”
Kane has also worked with Elliman’s Westchester office as vice president and director of business, and at the Westchester New York brokerage Houlihan Lawrence, where she was senior vice president.
“In order to be effective in a market like Miami, which is such an international market, you really need to offer the service and experience that only an international, luxury brand can bring,” she told TRD. “We’ll look at developing as many new business opportunities as possible to help us obtain the goal of doubling our sales volume.”
In March, ONE Sotheby’s hired former Fortune International executive Fernando de Nuñez y Lugones as its executive vice president of the firm’s luxury condo development division.
