A turnkey, lakefront home in Weston was put on the market for $6.2 million, The Real Deal has learned.
Douglas and Jodi Berman own the 7,950-square-foot home at 2760 Paddock Road, which is the most expensive property on the market in the Weston Windmill Ranch Estates neighborhood, according to Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate. Terri Perlini is the listing agent.
Douglas Berman is the executive managing director of H.I.G. Capital, a private equity investment management firm with offices in Miami. Before that, he worked at Bain & Company.
The Bermans’ nearly 1.3-acre estate was designed by Randall Stofft and custom built by Vincent Mish of AVI Contractors. It features wood paneling, custom lighting, three fireplaces, a wine room, elevator, custom office and laundry rooms. They paid $3.9 million for the home in 2009, according to Broward County property records.
“A brilliant blend of privacy and family living that only Weston can offer, with the sophistication of East Fort Lauderdale, this palatial estate home is truly a masterpiece with no expense spared for the finest materials and craftsmanship,” Perlini said in a press release.
The house also features a pool/entertainment room, guest suite on the first floor, a marble master bathroom, and a gourmet kitchen with Wolf, Miele and Subzero appliances.
Perlini specializes in luxury, golf communities and waterfront properties, according to the press release. – Katherine Kallergis
