Spec home developer Dan Swanson custom-built the 11,612-square-foot estate at 1207 Spanish River Road in 2003. The nearly half-acre property features 135 feet of water frontage, a marble foyer and a canopy of Banyan trees, according to the listing.

The Tuscan-inspired home has four bedrooms, six full bathrooms and one half-bath, according to listing agent Jonathan Postma of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate. The gourmet kitchen opens up into a junior dining room and a family room with an English pub, wine room and a theater/media room. It’s also listed furnished for $8.495 million.

Postma advised the owners on the redesign, he told TRD. “We reversed a lot of the darkness and toned down what was there,” he said.

William L. Brown owns the mansion, according to Palm Beach County property records. Brown paid $2.5 million for it in 2002. Postma said he’s marketing the property “everywhere. We’re marketing it heavy to the Northeast, heavy to the West Coast and heavy to Europe.”

In August, the former Boca Raton mansion of troubled Creed vocalist Scott Stapp hit the market with an asking price of $5.95 million.
