Boca-based Cross Country plans to expand there

Cross Country Healthcare, a public company based in Boca Raton, plans to increase the size of its staff there from 500 to 600 and to lease new office space.

Cross Country, a provider of physician staffing, will lease 20,000 square feet at 5201 Congress Road in Boca Raton.

The publicly held company provides physicians, travel nurses and other types of professionals for 3,000-plus health care businesses in the United States and the Caribbean.

Over the next two years, Cross Country will be filling Boca-based jobs for billing and payroll workers, health care recruiters and specialists in human resources information technology.

Cross Country said it will remain in its leased, 70,405-square-foot headquarters at 6551 Park of Commerce in Boca Raton but will reduce its office occupancy at another
Boca address, 901 Yamato Road.

Cross Country generated about $617 million of revenue fiscal 2014, up from about $438 million the previous year. The company is listed on the NASDAQ stock market under ticker symbol CCRN.
