ONE Sotheby’s International Realty has hired Brown Harris Stevens | Zilbert’s Alex Miranda and Joe Padula as the firm’s new senior global real estate advisers.
The Alex and Joe Team, Zilbert’s No. 1 sales team in 2013 and 2014, will focus on expanding ONE Sotheby’s presence in some of Miami’s hot neighborhoods: Midtown Miami, Edgewater and the Upper East Side, Miranda told The Real Deal.
“I wanted a brokerage that was active in the downtown and Biscayne Corridor areas, and that really hasn’t been the focus of Zilbert,” Miranda told TRD.
They were top producers in Midtown from 2009 to 2011, and Padula sits on the Midtown Miami Community Development District board. Together, Miranda and Padula have $175 million in sales volume since 2008.
ONE Sotheby’s has made a number of high profile hires recently, including Lourdes Alatriste, a former partner at Engel & Völkers and the firm’s top producing agent, as new executive director of international real estate; Amy Kane as the new director of sales in Miami Beach; and Fernando de Nuñez y Lugones as executive vice president of the firm’s luxury condo development division.
On the flip side, Eloy Carmenate, previously the executive vice president at ONE Sotheby’s, and Gus Rubio, the firm’s former COO, both left to Douglas Elliman earlier this year.
