PHOTOS: On the scene at Sotheby’s NY/Miami meetup

ONE Sotheby’s International Realty founder and CEO Mayi de la Vega and Kathy Korte, president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty in New York City hosted a South Florida/Northeast networking event recently.

The cocktail party was held in the Two E Bar/Lounge at The Pierre in New York.

The meetup gathered agents from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, New York, Greenwich and the Hamptons who are affiliated with the Sotheby’s International Realty network.

With South Florida’s booming real estate industry and increasing interest from buyers in the Northeast, the Sotheby’s International affiliates’ aim is to combine forces to enhance communication between the two regions. The agents shared intelligence on hot listings, business leads and luxury developments, ONE Sotheby’s International Realty said.

The initiative also reflects the Miami-based firm’s strategy to target niche markets that increasingly show interest in the South Florida market, including the Northeast, South America and Europe. The next affiliate networking event will be held in Buenos Aires in November. — Katherine Kallergis and Ina Cordle
