CC Homes and BBX Capital Real Estate have teamed up to develop Bonterra, a new residential community in Hialeah. They broke ground at the nearly 400-home project earlier in October.
The 50-acre development is west of I-75, just south of Miami Lakes Drive. Houses will have three to five bedrooms and start in the mid 300,000s. More than 130 homes have been presold, according to a press release. The project is near the site of the planned American Dream Miami, a proposed mega-mall.
In April, Florida Community Bank granted an additional $34.8 million in loans for the development, bringing the total funding to $43 million.
Seth Wise, president of BBX Capital Real Estate, Armando Codina founder and owner of CC Homes, and partner Jim Carr attended the groundbreaking on Oct. 23. – Katherine Kallergis and Sean Stewart-Muniz
