Construction has started on the north condominium building, which is 85 percent reserved, and sales of units in the south building have begun. Prices start at $1.4 million.

Patrick Campbell, the Auberge project director at Related, told the Sun-Sentinel said a big majority of the pre-construction buyers have been U.S. residents who intend to live at Auberge.

Since 2011, developers have announced plans for more than 9,000 condo units east of I-95 in Broward County, according to Cranespotters.com. [Sun-Sentinel] — Mike Seemuth
