Construction of the 171-unit Auberge Beach Residences & Spa Fort Lauderdale is under way and the oceanfront condo complex is scheduled for completion in 2017.
Construction has started on the north condominium building, which is 85 percent reserved, and sales of units in the south building have begun. Prices start at $1.4 million.
Related Group, Fortune International Group and the Ireland and Mitchell families are the developers of Auberge at 2200 North Ocean Boulevard, the site of the old Ireland’s Inn hotel.
Patrick Campbell, the Auberge project director at Related, told the Sun-Sentinel said a big majority of the pre-construction buyers have been U.S. residents who intend to live at Auberge.
Since 2011, developers have announced plans for more than 9,000 condo units east of I-95 in Broward County, according to Cranespotters.com. [Sun-Sentinel] — Mike Seemuth
