Television court show star Judith “Judge Judy” Sheindlin and her husband paid $8.6 million for a mansion in Naples and listed a condo there for sale with an asking price of $11 million.
Sheindlin, star of the “Judge Judy” reality TV show, and her husband, Jerry Sheindlin, listed for sale their 8,550-square-foot penthouse at a waterfront high-rise on the Gulf of Mexico. The couple bought the penthouse unit for $6.9 million in 2005.
As the star of the syndicated “Judge Judy” show, Sheindlin reportedly makes $47 million a year. She and her husband, who have a dozen grandchildren, may have outgrown the penthouse.
‘They recently bought a 10,607-square-foot mansion in Naples with six bedrooms, nine bathrooms and two half-baths in a gated community less than a mile from their condo. The house has a great room and a family room with double-height ceilings, a formal dining room, a paneled office (or library), a spacious kitchen and an adjoining breakfast nook.
In the back of the house, a micro-screen enclosure spanning 3,200 square feet keeps bugs away and covers an outdoor kitchen, a lagoon-style swimming pool, a spa and three waterfalls. [Variety] — Mike Seemuth
