Five agents have joined Brown Harris Stevens | Zilbert, including three from ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.

Stephan Burke, Carol Cassis and William McClain left ONE Sotheby’s. Burke has sold nearly $100 million of property over his 20-year career, according to a press release. Cassis has worked with luxury residential properties, commercial buildings and Miami Beach hotels; and McClain has a background in the luxury hotel industry. McClain has also worked with the Campins Company.

On the flip side, top producers Alex Miranda and Joe Padula left BHS | Zilbert in October to join ONE Sotheby’s and expand the firm’s presence in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood.

BHS | Zilbert also hired Jill Velarde and Ryan Brescia as agents. Velarde, a design consultant, previously oversaw the development of luxury single-family homes. Brescia was previously director of operations and business development at Brooklyn-based Brick&Mortar, as well as an investment adviser and sales manager at Charles Schwab.

Brown Harris Stevens acquired Zilbert International Realty in June for an undisclosed amount. In September, BHS | Zilbert agent Jeffrey Miller represented the buyer of two penthouse units at Faena House, which sold for a record $60 million.

Franklin Street hired Robert Granda as director of retail investment sales for the firm’s South Florida office. Granda was previously with Marcus & Millichap, where he was associate director of the national retail group, specializing in advisory services and transactional leadership.

Marcos Puente left Marcus & Millichap and joined Colliers International South Florida. Puente, who has experience with net lease and retail properties, is now vice president of investment sales for the firm’s Miami office. He represented the buyer of a Wendy’s in Coral Gables last month, which sold for $9 million.

Carlos Montoya joined Marcus & Millichap as a director in the company’s Fort Lauderdale office. He was previously a vice president at Walker & Dunlop.

Cushman & Wakefield hired J.D. Brussels and Valerie Tatum in its Boca Raton office. Brussels, an associate, will join the tenant advisory team. Tatum, a senior research analyst, has experience as a research coordinator, broker, acquisition manager and appraiser in South and Central Florida.

They were both previously with CBRE. – Katherine Kallergis
