The owners of Cibo Wine Bar will soon list their newly built Miami Beach home for $8.49 million, or $1,633 per square foot.
Nick and Nadia Di Donato have owned the waterfront property since 2012. They knocked down their house about a year ago and built a new, 5,200-square-foot home with four bedrooms and five bathrooms in its place.
The modern two-story home features a Chihuly chandelier, a two-car garage, suspended glass and wood staircase, floor-to-ceiling windows, wood flooring, a rooftop summer kitchen, and a dock. It was available for rent for $35,000 a month, according to Realtor.com.
The property, at 5501 Pine Tree Drive, spans 13,140 square feet. It also features Italian fixtures, an infinity pool with a water feature and multicolor lights, and 73 feet of waterfront. Raymond Bolduc of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing agent.
Nick Di Donato is president and CEO of Liberty Entertainment Group, a restaurant and entertainment firm based in Toronto. The group manages Coral Gables Country Club and operates Cibo, which has locations in Coral Gables, South Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Toronto.
The head Cibo designer also designed the Di Donatos home, which has a “top of the line Canadian kitchen” with hidden cabinets and a white lacquer finish, Bolduc said. “It’s really a cook’s kitchen.”
The Di Donatos paid $2.3 million for the property in 2012, according to Miami-Dade County records. Records show that Nicola and Nadia Di Donato also own a 2,200-square-foot unit at Oceana III in Sunny Isles Beach. They bought the condo in 2009 for $515,000.
