The week in luxury: A map of Miami-Dade’s priciest condo sales

An interactive look at where the biggest deals were struck

Miami-Dade County’s condo market closed out January with a solid week of sales, slowly rising out of the winter slump that saw a nosedive in both volume and pricing. Four deals hit the multimillion-dollar mark — a solid improvement from previous weeks.

Last week’s priciest sale was $2.95 million unit in the Bayview condominium on Fisher Island. The four-bedroom residence boasts bay views, a gallery kitchen and hardwood floors. Its listing with Elena Bluntzer of the Bluntzer Group said it’s perfect for yacht watching. Unit 5224 was on the market for 96 days before closing at $830 per square foot.

Close behind that deal was the $2.675 million sale of unit 3702 at the Acqualina Residences in Sunny Isles Beach. Its all-white interiors and ocean views fetched $1,208 per square foot after sitting on the market for 149 days under German Mendez of Re/Max Sunny Isles.

And the week’s third-most expensive sale was a $2.3 million unit at the Jade Ocean tower in Sunny Isles Beach. Unit 1201, which features floor-to-ceiling glass windows and 2,800 square feet of terraces, sold after 111 days Monica Betancourt of Esslinger Wooten Maxwell. Its closing equates to a sizable $1,038 per square foot.

After those top three deals, the week’s remaining seven priciest sales ranged from $2.05 million to $730,000.

Miami-Dade saw a total of 133 condo sales last week for $41.710 million. That’s a considerable improvement from the previous week, which had only 85 sales for $33.726 million. Average prices were $313,609 per unit and $244 per square foot.
