ONE Sotheby’s to open second Broward office in Weston

ONE Sotheby’s International Realty is opening an office in Weston that marks the firm’s second Broward outpost and 10th overall.

Sandra Mattsson, branch managing broker, will manage the 75 sales agents working in the Weston office, according to a press release. ONE Sotheby’s will open in a temporary space at the former Northern Trust Bank building at 2300 Weston Road until its 4,500-square-foot office is built out by May 2016 in the same building. The company inked a 10-year lease.

The new office will also function as a sales gallery for its preconstruction projects that include Metropica, the Gale Hotel & Residences and Riva Fort Lauderdale.

In the press release, Mattsson said Weston is an example of “how a neighboring city can benefit from real estate booms in the global markets it surrounds, in this case Fort Lauderdale and Miami.”

The brokerage firm isn’t the only Miami-based firm to expand to Broward in recent months. RelatedISG International Realty opened a Weston office in November. National firms Cushman & Wakefield opened in Fort Lauderdale earlier this year and Douglas Elliman in Fort Lauderdale Beach.

ONE Sotheby’s has offices in Fort Lauderdale, Coral Gables, Miami Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, Bay Harbour Islands, Brickell and Key Biscayne. Mattsson previously managed the Weston offices of Realty Associates Florida Properties and Fortune International Realty.
