Suffolk Construction and developers the Related Group and Shoma Homes recently celebrated CityPlace Doral’s topping off and beam signing ceremony at the mixed-use project.

More than 600 people attended the event at 8300 Doral Boulevard, including Doral Mayor Luigi Boria, Doral Vice Mayor Fraga and many of the project’s future tenants.

Phase II of the mixed-use retail and residential development is on schedule for completion by the end of this year, and will include 300,000 square feet of retail development including entertainment, restaurant, spa, fitness and retail space; 280,000 square feet of Class A office space; and 303 apartment rental units.

Pie Bar, Salsa Fiesta, Kings bowling alley, Mixtura, Angelo, Tommy Bahama-Island, Cooper’s Hawk, Burger & Beer Joint, Sushi Siam, Cabo Flats and CineBistro — Cobb Theatre are among the future retail tenants.

Last year, the Related Group closed on a $136.88 million construction loan from Regions Bank for CityPlace Doral.

Suffolk Construction has completed the first phase of the project, Manor at CityPlace Doral. Once completed, CityPlace Doral will total more than 1 million square feet. Ina Cordle and Sean Stewart-Muniz
