Finvarb Group’s Residence Inn by Marriott Miami Beach South Beach celebrated its grand opening recently – complete with bites from nearby restaurants.
Rosa Mexicano, Carrot Express, Savory Bakery & Café, Burger & Beer Joint and Master’s Italian served tastings, and vendors like Barry’s Bootcamp, Glam Squad, Voli Vodka, Icebox Café, Green Monkey Yoga, South Beach Kayak and Jungle Island also participated in the event.
The 116-key hotel, at 1231 17th Street, features studio rooms and one-bedroom suites with kitchenettes, and amenities that include a rooftop pool, fitness center and business center. It was designed by Kobi Karp. Property records show a Finvarb affiliate paid a little more than $5 million for the 25,540-square-foot plot in 2013.
Marriott International manages the animal-friendly property, according to a press release. It’s in the Sunset Harbour neighborhood of Miami Beach. Finvarb plans to build on the property next door at 1750 Alton Road. The longtime site of a Boston Market will become a 96-room hotel and restaurant, developer Ronny Finvarb previously told The Real Deal. – Katherine Kallergis and Sean Stewart-Muniz
