Construction is halfway done at Paramount Fort Lauderdale Beach, which just hit its ninth floor.

Paramount, which broke ground at the end of 2014, aims to top off in October and open next spring. More than 18,000 cubic yards of cement have been poured for the 18-story tower so far, according to a spokesperson.

Eighty percent of the oceanfront building has been sold for more than $150 million, developer Dan Kodsi previously told The Real Deal. OneWorld Properties is marketing both Paramount Fort Lauderdale Beach and Miami Worldcenter condos.

The 2-acre development site at 701 North Atlantic Boulevard previously housed a Howard Johnson Hotel.

Two penthouses were reserved earlier this year for more than $4.5 million. The two-story penthouses are located on the 18-story Paramount’s top floors. Each has about 3,062 square feet of interior living space on the 18th floor, along with a rooftop section with 708 square feet of air conditioned space.

LM Restaurants will open a Mediterranean restaurant on the ground floor of the building. Remaining units range from 1,910 to 3,474 square feet starting at $1.2 million.
