From the New York site: The childhood home of presidential hopeful Donald Trump has hit the market asking $1.65 million.

Fred Trump lived in the Jamaica Estates house at 85-15 Wareham Place with his son before building a larger house around the corner on Midland Parkway, according to Newsday.

The 2,000-square-foot home is currently owned by “a New York City restaurateur” and has six-bedroom, 4-bathrooms.

The house “will automatically become a historic site” if Trump becomes president, Howard Kaminowitz, an associate broker with Laffey Fine Homes who is listing the property, told Newsday.

However, not every birthplace of an elected president is part of the National Park Service. Many presidential birthplaces remain privately owned, Jeremy Barnum, a spokesman for the federal agency, told Newsday. [Newsday]Christopher Cameron
