Andrew Steel, whose resume includes stops at The Related Group and Carlton Group, has joined Margaritaville Holdings, LLC, as the company’s new director of development.

“Andrew’s background, combined with his ability to establish positive relationships with potential partners and investment groups, make him an invaluable asset to our team,” John Cohlan, CEO of Margaritaville Holdings, LLC, said in a written statement.

Margaritaville Holdings, LLC, is a growing hotel business that includes the new Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. Cohlan runs the company with his business partner, entrepreneurial recording artist Jimmy Buffett.

Steel has facilitated more than $1.7 billion of successful transactions during his 10 years of experience in real estate and development. Besides Related and Carlton, Steel also has worked for Faison Associates.

Prior to joining Margaritaville Holdings, Steel was president of Akua Capital, an investment firm he co-founded.

At Margaritaville Holdings, he will focus on building partnerships that support international expansion of the Margaritaville brand.
